Mr Ruben Lundqvist lived in the 1920’s and 30’s in Vikarbyn, Dalarna. He was an artist who created a carton that was known throughout the world. The American distribution company, King Features Syndicate, sold the figure around the world to more than 100 newspapers. In Sweden, he appeared in the Stockholms Tidning and Svenska Dagbladet. After many years in Vikarbyn, Ruben Lundqvist moved with his family to Falun where he passed away 1979, 84 years old. The carton that Ruben created is called Herr Karl Johan Knatt, more known as Mr. Knatt.
